..right after the rent, car payment, and car insurance are paid! Holy shit show.
top: Alloy, $40.
bottom: Bakers, $75.
I'm also jonesing for a pair of neutral, platform-as-hell espadrille wedges, a la Delias. $40.
[A disclaimer, re: said espadrille wedges. I am not myself these days. I've been drinking beer, watching baseball, and going to dirt races. I'm not sure what about those circumstances makes me want a pair of typical-Jersey-bitch platforms, but I digress.]

A survey.
I'm finally settled in, connected to the internet, and catching up on all my beloved blogs. The darling This Wheel's On Fire posted a survey a few weeks back that I'm dying to fill out. I'm so tired of the stupid facebook surveys I see all the time. This one was a little more interesting. So here you are, like it or not, a shit-ton of personal info.
What is your current obsession?
New apartment, new car (Subaru Legacy..sedan, NOT wagon!), new boyyy.. :)
What songs are currently on repeat?
I'm tired of everything I've had on repeat, so I'm digging Pandora. I plugged in the Kills, and I'm getting lots of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Black Keys, Black Lips, Arctic Monkeys, Raconteurs, Raveonettes...good, good shit.
If you could be any animal for a day, what would you be?
Any one of the spoiled felines residing in my mother's house. Eating and napping all day sounds like heaven to me right now..
What are you wearing today?
White jeans, a drapey blue top my friend's mom just gave me, and flip flops. Hot, humid New Jersey weather is not very conducive to outfit creativity this early in the season.
What's your must-have piece for summer?
Anything cheap, in the form of a dress.
Why is today special?
Today I'm buying the shower gift for my bestest best friend's fiancee's bridal shower, which is tomorrow. <3<3<3
What would you like to have in your hands right now?
Chris's face..
What would you like to learn to do?
Speak French fluently.
What's the last thing you bought?
A vintage piano bench I'm going to use as a tv stand. No, two dresses.
What is your most challenging goal right now?
Overcoming debt. I made the wise decision at 19 to put a few semesters of college on my credit card... ?!
If you could have a home totally paid for, fully furnished anywhere in the world, where would you like it to be?
That's tough..Paris, obvi. I'm obsessed. But I really love my hometown right now, and everyone I love is so centrally located.
What would you like to get rid of?
Emotional baggage! Lol. And clothes, I've had some stuff on eBay in an attempt to be rid of them, but nobody wants my old crap. I'm putting them back up anyway!
Who do you want to meet right now?
Marc Jacobs. My hero.<3
If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go?
Paris. No question.
Which book could you read over and over again?
Actual literature? Catcher in the Rye. Garbage/for fun book? The Bohemian Manifesto by Lauren Stover. I've read it a hundred times, it's just a fun book.
Describe your personal style.
Poor girl dropped out of FIT? Let's just say, I try to emulate Kate Moss/Alison Mosshart or Nico Reilly/Victory Ford (Lipstick Jungle) on a paltry budget. Lots of thrift store, Target, F21, and Aldo.
What are your plans for the future?
Oh, the typical 'get married, have babies'. Big on my priority list right now. I'd like to travel. I just wanna like what I do every day, be in love, and get by. That sounds uninspired and unambitious, but it's really not.
What is your favorite piece of clothing in your closet?
An amazing black cardigan I got for my birthday.
Do you admire anyone's style?
See above: Kate Moss, Alison Mosshart, Nico Reilly, Victory Ford. The last two are ficticious characters, but they're well-dressed. They taught me to embrace gaudy rings and pencil skirts.
What do you think of the person who tagged you?
I wasn't actually tagged, but I think I must have known her in a past life. Her aesthetic and her brain function so closely to mine.. :)
Feel free to fill out. I dunno who to tag, I don't know if anyone still reads this blog!

The obsession never ends.
Saw the Kills on Friday night in Philly with the new boy. ;) (I know the video's horrible, Alison Mosshart's just so cool I have to post it anyway! Watch her thrash her head around at the end of the song.) Then moved into my new apartment! First place entirely on my own, so excited. Hope all's well with you, babies. xoxo
