Fur vests. Faux, of course. Can't stop thinking about them, can't find one in the thrift stores that isn't horrendous cheapy-looking. Found a site that has decent-looking faux fur on the semi-cheap. Can't decide on a color. Think I'm leaning toward the spotted wolf..? Forgive the Sears-catalogesque pictures, try to focus on the vest..imagine it with American Apparel and better hair.

This woman can do no wrong.
Emmanuelle Alt in Milan, in another fab drop-crotch ensemble.
Here's the back of the outfit (the shoes, gasp!)..I don't even care what Carine has on..

On the hunt
I've been searching for a [faux] fur vest since I first saw this Isabel Marant ad. Watching the Rachel Zoe project doesn't lessen my desire at all..the woman is perpetually in fur!
Any ideas, chickies?

More lust..
Michael by Michael Kors "Lattington" boots, $179 michaelkors.com
Sorry the pic is a so blurry. And I know I said I had enough ankle boots, but..can you ever really have enough ankle boots? These are so perfect!
On a side note, I've been looking for a mens' fragrance that I would like to wear myself, as womens' are generally too flowery/prissy/girly for me, and I had high hopes for Juicy Couture's Dirty English for men. I'm not particularly a Juicy fan, but it looked and sounded like a cool scent.
Alas, it smells like funeral incense. Though my friend Natalie thinks it smells like "sexy woods". If I could convince myself, I'd wear it..but I think funeral incense might be too much for everyday.

Really, I expected better
Seriously? You work at Vogue Paris, you're Melanie Freaking Huynh, you couldn't be more creative with "preggers at NY Fashion Week"? Disappointing. Has Carine seen this outfit?

What a long day.
I am EXHAUSTED. I feel like I saw a thousand patients at work today.
Check out my sweet belt! It was 50 cents at the thrift store..I just need like a gold coin belt for the Gucci effect.
And another hat! They'll be up on eBay by the end of the night, I'll edit and link when ready!
the outfit: Jacket, H&M. Tee, vintage. Jeans, Gap. Necklace, Subversive for Target. Slouchy handknit beret by me!
EDIT: Check out the hats, kids!
blue merino blend
cream merino blend
purple cotton blend

An outfit post, and an announcement
At long last, an outfit post!
So, after about 14 hours of consideration (read: obsession), I went back to Express and bought the coat. It's so soft and beautiful, I can't stand it. Even the lining is gorgeous! It's still way too hot out to be wearing it yet, but I have endless outfits already running around in my head.
In other news, the hat I'm wearing in the photos, as well as others, will soon be for sale on eBay. Probably tomorrow, as I'm too exhausted tonight to keep looking at the computer screen. But you can anticipate different colors, types of fibers, etc. I might even take special orders! :)
the outfit: Coat, Express. Tee, Fruit of the Loom. Jeans, Gap. Heels (not really pictured), Michael Kors. Necklace, Forever21. Hat, knitted by me!
Check back tomorrow for updates!

A boots dilemma.
So, my ankle boot collection overfloweth. I could use a pair of knee-high boots. I had a black leather vintage pair last year, but having worn them all over France and subsequently bruised the balls of my feet, I decided it's probably best not to wear them again. Here are my options:
Fornarina Nico boot, $299. piperlime.com
I'd prefer suede if I'm going to splurge on a knee-high pair, but these look identical to the aforementioned vintage pair. They're just beautiful.
Slouchy Suede Foldover Boot, $88. urbanoutfitters.com
Perfect: affordable, suede, not too much heel, comes in black or brown. I'm leaning toward black, for versatility's sake.
Carlos Santana Hot Rod, $189. piperlime.com
Brown, not black, but just kinda cool. I think I like the chunky heel.
Thoughts?

Heaven.
Horrennnndous blurry, but I had to get this up immediately. I just saw it in person at Express, and it is so soft and so beautiful, I think I might have to pick one up on my way home from work tomorrow. Oh god, it's amazing. As soon as I looked at it, I thought of Krystal..in a band tee, skinny jeans, and those Gucci boots!
